HOMEMADE BREAD DAY - November 17, 2006 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hooray for the anonymous cook who created a day that commemorates home baking. Get into the spirit by baking a loaf, something sweet or savory. We're planning a loaf of sweet dough with raisins swirled with Cinnamon Schmear. (Any bread dough recipe will do but send us an email and we'll send you our favorite.)

ALL TIME FAVORITE – Almond Horns ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Not a month goes by when we don't get a request for this bakery classic. Don't be daunted though. Almond Horns are very easy to make at home. The pliable dough, made from our almond paste and eggs, is baked until golden yet still chewy. To dress up the presentation, dip the ends in melted chocolate. They keep well in the freezer or for three to four days at room temperature when wrapped tightly. | |

FROM OUR RECIPE BOX - Chocolate Fudge Bread Pudding ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Some crowd-pleasers are among the easiest desserts to make. Bread pudding is one. Stale bread, muffins or even croissants can be used. Here we’ve slathered a mild bread with Love'n Bake Chocolate Schmear. (No special skills are required so this might be something to assign to the kids.) Our pudding is made with a custard that is not too sweet. You might even want to drizzle it with caramel sauce before serving. | |

We can't resist a chance to make baking at home easier. Our Cinnamon Carrot Cake starts with a packaged cake mix swirled with Love'n Bake Cinnamon Schmear. (It gives just the right spicy profile you’d want in this cake.) Studded with carrots, walnuts and currants, this cake can be served as a snack or as holiday fare. | |
